Julie Ostrowsky, MSc

Ms. Ostrowsky is senior program manager for the NIAID-funded Minnesota Center of Excellence for Influenza Research and Surveillance (MCEIRS) at CIDRAP. She has worked at the University of Minnesota since 2001, first as program manager for food biosecurity at CIDRAP and then as senior program analyst with the National Center for Food Protection and Defense, a multidisciplinary research consortium funded through a grant from the US Department of Homeland Security. Before joining the University of Minnesota, she worked as an analyst with the Congressional Office of Technology Assessment, where her publications spanned a wide range of public health and biomedical topics, including tuberculosis prevention and control and HIV transmission in the healthcare workplace. She received her MSc from McGill University, Montreal, in biology/human genetics.
